Nosotros loved this, just I did do a couple changes. I added the soup mixture to the beef instead of mixing with it the potatoes. My family much preferred information technology this style. Later reviewing other comments I did add a lilliputian more pepper and some season table salt. I also reduced the milk a petty and added some sour cream to meat/soup mix. Nice touch to the flavour. I also sautéed onion and the mushrooms before adding to the meat mix. A definite keeper to our family card.

I made some modifications, and it was amazing. First, I used 1 lb. turkey and 1 lb. ground beef, and then I added chopped onion, chopped red bell pepper, minced garlic, chili pulverization, cumin, salt and pepper to the ground beef and turkey every bit I cooked it. I then mashed the potatoes and added to information technology i can of cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt and pepper. I did non use the second can of Foam of Mushroom to cascade over it (did non want it to be soupy). And when I layered information technology, I had plenty of meat to balance out the meal. I used more than Cheddar cheese to cover each layer. Then I only cooked in oven for 30 minutes. Let it sit for 15 minutes. AMAZING!!!

We liked this but a little also bland. Thought it would exist so I added a tin of mild green chilies to hamburger. Side by side time I'll add together minced onions & garlic also to hamburger while cooking. Also apply more cheese. I only used i large jar of mushrooms & that was enough. Left off the French fried onions since I didn't have whatsoever. Volition make again with changes. Proficient middle of the week meal.

I made several modifications. Kickoff, I added Lipton onion soup mix (dry package) into the ground beef. Secondly, I left out the mushrooms. Thirdly, I used both ground beef and ground deer (for my wild game-loving husband). Both my husband and his friend who also loves heavy casseroles enjoyed it.

Fabricated this final night for company. Piece of cake to prepare ahead of time and then bake. I like to apply these types of "do before paw" so I can visit while it heats in the oven. This dish was okay but very bland. Information technology needed more spice than but salt and pepper. I followed the verbal recipe. I will not make this over again. Information technology needed something to pep information technology upwards.

I follow other reviewers suggestions of reducing the milk and added an equal amt of sour foam. I added 1/2 a modest can of diced dark-green chilis, some garlic powder, a fleck of paprika and onion powder. I also used a 9x13 pan because at that place was 1.5# of burger and added extra cheese on the tiptop. This will about definitely be one of my frequent dishes. The only thing I'd change is to cut the potatoes in more of a steak fry size vs. just slicing the potato.

Used fresh mushrooms instead of canned. Sauteed onions and so cooked mushrooms and added foam of mushroom and potatoes. Turned out very good, took longer for potatoes to melt all the mode through had to melt for almost 2 hours. I would turn the heat up adjacent time I melt this peradventure to 375.

This was a very simple recipe to make! As another reviewer stated, "It'southward much faster using a mandolin to slice the potatoes!" I also spiced it upwardly a bit. I added: blackness pepper, garlic pulverization, onion powder paprika and cayenne pepper to both cans of mushroom soup. I would have added mushrooms but I didn't have whatsoever--Side by side Fourth dimension! I did add a tin (tuckered) of corn. This turned out delicious!

The fried onions actually make the dish. They add together a dainty flavor and a satisfying crunch. This is a neat way to use hamburger meat that isn't meatloaf or Hamburger Helper. Very tasty.

I take made this goulash with some changes. I used 1 pound of hamburger and 1 Pound of Ground Turkey. 1 can of Mushroom Soup and 4 pieces of Bacon. Fried the salary commencement. Put all the Meat in to the Skillet with the bacon grease for flavor! Seasoned with Season Salt and Onion Powder . Added the mushroom soup. When done got my goulash dish out. Put sliced potatoes on the lesser of dish. Seasoned potatoes lightly with Flavor Salt and Onion Powder. Put half meat mixture on top. Added one-half of the Cheese. I used about 2 cups total. And so sprinkled French Fried onions over that. Put the last of the potatoes over meat mixture. Lightly seasoned again. Added lightly sprinkled cheese and French fried onions. And so add the rest of the meat Mixture. Ok if it doesn't cover all the potatoes. Just shine in casserole dish then in that location is meat mixture everywhere. Add more cheese encompass heavily. Melt for well-nigh an hour at 350 degrees. When almost done lightly sprinkle balance of French fried onions and cook for another x-15 minutes!! Ummm!! YUMMMY!!

Going from other reviews, I decided to slightly alter the recipe. When cooking the meat, I add 1 onion, iii garlic cloves salt and pepper. For the potatoes I used 1 tin of soup, 3/four cup milk and two tablespoons of sour cream. I layered potatoes then meat then cheese. Covered with aluminum foil.
10/12/2018
No mushrooms and put onions in with beefiness... ummmm yummmy... covered it with tin foil and baked!

I cooked 2 lbs ground beefiness. In a split up pot, I cooked potatoes, frozen green beans and frozen carrots together. I cooked the potatoes too long to the consistency of potato soup. I tuckered the h2o. Since I cooked the potatoes too long, I had to scoop "irish potato soup" out of the sink. I added 1 loving cup sour cream, i/2 cup milk and ii cans cream of celery soup to the murphy veggie mixture. I seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic pulverisation and a seasoning blend. I layered potato mixture, meat and cheese in a casserole dish. I cooked at 350 for xxx" topping with onion rings the concluding 5 minutes. Information technology was delicious! Next time I will cook the carrots first, then I'll add the potatoes, then the green beans. Thanks Theresa for the recipe and to others for adding your ideas.

I went to brand my traditional ham, cheese, and potato casserole with cream of mushroom soup and milk and BAM!!!!! No. Ham. I wanted to cry. I was craving that casserole. Then I looked for something that had those ingredients but had something other than ham. I constitute this. I was skeptical, because we're not as well big on hamburger casseroles. I really had no other pick, considering I had no other meat. Likewise, the added mushrooms were iffy... Merely I shouldn't have worried at all! This was swell! There was a neat gustatory modality and a solid feel, and is groovy every bit Man Food. The married man approved, and that's huge in this house. It was filling, which is not the norm for me and hamburger. And the additional mushrooms? Killer! Spot on! Definitely needed! I will (I would submit a picture, just the picture requirements for this site are killing me and I can never find one to fit the size and acme/width requirements. ugh...)
